REFUND POLICY

At Red Chili Africana Restaurant, we are committed to providing quality food and excellent service. This Refund Policy explains when refunds, replacements, or credits may be issued, in line with applicable consumer protection standards in Guyana.

1. General Policy

Due to the nature of freshly prepared food, all sales are generally final once an order has been prepared or served. However, refund or replacement requests will be reviewed fairly where a genuine issue has occurred.

2. Eligible Refunds or Replacements

Refunds, replacements, or credits may be considered where:- The wrong order was supplied- Food was spoiled, unsafe, or unfit for consumption at the time of service or delivery- There was a confirmed billing or payment error- A paid order was cancelled by the restaurant before preparation

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued where:- Food has already been consumed or partially consumed, except where quality issues are proven- Dissatisfaction is based on personal taste or preference- Incorrect delivery information was provided by the customer- Delays occurred due to factors beyond the restaurant’s reasonable control

4. Dine-In Orders

Dine-in customers must report any issues immediately to a staff member before leaving the premises. Where appropriate, a replacement meal may be offered instead of a refund.

5. Takeaway and Delivery Orders

For takeaway or delivery orders, issues must be reported within a reasonable time after receipt. Proof such as receipts or photographs may be requested.

6. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

7. Allergies and Dietary Requirements

Customers must inform staff of any allergies or dietary requirements before ordering. Refunds will not be issued for allergic reactions where no prior notification was given, except where required by law.

8. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits statutory consumer rights under the laws of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
